There are many ways to tidy up loose cables and hide them underneath a desk. This idea from Walter Glen at Lifehacker used the metal rings of a broken three-ring binder. I like it because it is cheap, it recycles materials and the clip rings make it easy to add or adjust cables later on.

three ring binder

It will screw into the bottom of a desk or any other solid surface, so it is useful for standard desk-chair workstations, but also flexible enough to use on less traditional set-ups. I think it might be a great solution for my recliner-desk set-up if I attach it vertically to the back of the trolley I am using as a desk.
