Smart watches are the new hot thing and the weirdest take on them has to be the pill watch by Jingyu Lee. The watch is a combination heart and blood pressure monitor, time and bizarrely a pill storage device all wrapped up in a matt black exterior.
The storage space is built in to the main watch body and is large enough for one or possibly two ‘standard’ size pills. It is unclear if the idea is to store a regular medication or for an emergency pill, but either way a single storage space does not seem to be enough.
At the moment this seems to be only a concept but the designer does seem to have some watches that have made it to production including the twilight perisphere watch that fades from white to black every 20 seconds and the free time watch that uses concentric rings to tell the time so it is possible it will come to fruition.
