Using a cot bed to make a desk is a fantastic way of repurposing a piece of sturdy and often sentimental furniture. I particularly like this design for its versatility and cost effectiveness. The paper-holder is a painted cereal box, a spice rack has been repainted to store craft supplies and suction hooks keep scissors off the desk.
The blackboard surface is great for crafting and when wiped clean, can also be used for other activities. Put a Lego or Duplo baseplate down for building and draw a few roads and houses to play with cars. The dual desk is also big enough to be used as a computer station with plenty of space for a laptop, children’s keyboard and mouse. It’s a beautiful design and looks quite easy to convert.
