The Xbox 360’s latest update has brought with it an earlier than expected change – any Xbox points in the account have converted back to real money in the local currency.
The system update is a small one, with this change being the only obvious one. Microsoft says that the currency will be an amount equal or greater in value than the older points. If you have points gift cards still unredeemed they will still be usable but will change to currency on being redeemed.
Any points that have been converted will need to be spent before June 1st 2015 or they will expire. Micrsoft has announced that the Xbox One will use local currency from launch so hopefully this will be the last time we will need to deal with Xbox points.
