If you are a student there is a good chance that you will still need to access paper textbooks quite often or possible you need handwritten notes open and a standing desk, usually with restricted surface space may not have seemed a viable option.

This weeks hack takes 2 Lack table and stacks them on top of each other, then adds a Rast bedside table with a Ekby Lavia Shelf to hold the keyboard an mouse.  The desk is not particularly configurable (apart from the height of the Ekby shelf) but with a total cost of  £26.75 (8×2 for the Lack, £9 for the Rast and £1.75 for the Ekby) it may be the cheapest standing desk you can buy.
