It is something that most of us do not want to talk about but if you have almost any medical condition or small children you need to consider – where is the nearest public loo? Add in access requirements – disabled loo, RADAR key, paid or unpaid and so on and it can be a difficult question.
Lifehacker recently wrote a post about a US focused app that led me to investigate what was available in the UK. After searching the market leader in Europe seems to be Toilet Finder. This app gives you a list or a map of all the closest public loos. These can be sorted by a combination of free or paid, disabled loo availability and baby changing facility availability. The database is crowd sourced and as is to be expected is denser in cities but even in my rural location it was able to show a few facilities. Finally you can read or submit reviews.
