If you have a disability and you like going to the Cinema you should be aware of and using the Cinema Exhibitors Association Card.  The card gives you a free ticket for the person accompanying you to the cinema, whether friend, carer, or family member.  To be eligible you need to be receiving DLA, attendance allowance, PIP, Armed Forces Independence Payment or be registered blind.

To get the card you need to download the application form and print it out.  Fill it in and send it back with a passport photo and a £5.50 processing fee you will get your CEA card within a couple of weeks.  The card is valid for one year and will work in most cinemas, although it is worth checking here if your local cinema will accept it.

The cost of cinema tickets is usually somewhere between five and twelve pounds depending on Cinema and showing so it if you go to the cinema once in a year you will probably save money.
