Over the past few months the Apple rumor mill has been going crazy with rumors of new iPads, new iPad Mini’s, new iPhones and the mythical Apple TV and iWatch.  Last month we finally got a new release of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c and now we have another announcement on the 22nd of October.

Apple invite

So what should we expect?  The best guesses seem to be for a number of items.  A fifth generation iPad, an updated iPad mini possibly with Retina, new Macbook Pros, a ship date for the Mac Pro and a release date for the next version of OSX Mavericks.  Apple have been as close mouthed as normal and have only offered the phrase ‘We still have a lot to cover’ on the invitations which does fit the predicted barrage of products but which does not help otherwise.

The announcement will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 10am local time which translates to 6pm here in the UK.  Historically Apple have rarely streamed their events, although occasionally they have provided geographically restricted and browser restricted (Safari only) streams.  This means we will probably have to rely on the live blogs done by all the tech publications.  We’ll be watching the blogs and if we manage to find a stream we will tweet it – otherwise we’ll summarize what we got this time next week.
